People can be so hurtful to each other. We so easily disregard others feelings and tear each other down. It seems easier to be cruel than to be generous. This one of the most divisive trick of the enemy. He has made this world be full of hate.
There is one tool stronger and better than hate, LOVE! Love conquers all. Love can mend broken hearts. Love is a kind word. Love is going out of your way for others. Love is greater than hate! Love is forgiveness!
So, I challenge you to love your enemies. God has called us to show His love! That means even to the ones who hurt us. We need to be the best example to the world that’s so full of hate. So spread the love. Pray for those who have hurt you. Show Christ’s love by loving those who don’t love you! Xoxo
“”But I say to you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,”
Luke 6:27 ESV
All week there has been one word that keeps being whispered to my heart multiple times a day. What is that word you ask? PEACE. This can be such a loaded word at times becuase it has so many different meanings. The dictionary defines peace in two ways; 1.) freedom from disturbance, tranquilty. 2.) A state or period where there is no war or war has ended. The Bible has a multititude of defintions for this word, however, there are a few that really stick out to me that I want to share with you.
In the New Testament it shows us that God is peace. We find this in the scriptures Romans 15:33,16:20 and 2 Thessalonians 3:16, these verses all show us that God is being referred to as Peace. To have God with us and in our lives is to also have peace in our lives. He gives us peace through His blessings, His love and His every being. So why do so many of us struggle with having no peace? I personally believe because as humans we try to fix all the struggles in our lives on our own without seeking God. If we dont constantly invite Him to be with us, then we are also not inviting His peace into our lives either.
The Bible also tells us to have “peace with one another” (Mark 9:50) and to “live in peace with one another and the God of peace will be with you” (2 Corinth. 13:11) To me these passages show me that in order to sustain Gods peace in your life you need to have peace with those in your lives as well. You cant expect to live a peaceful life when you’re not practicing peace with your relationships.
I can continue on and on with different meanings of peace throughout all of scripture, but I wont. I feel like these are the two examples God has laid on my heart this week. The enemy wants to steal our peace, meaning steal God from our lives. Think of him as a road block constantly popping up and trying to detour from where you are supposed to go. If we allow him to constantly block us from God then we are allowing him to block us from Gods peace. Our relationships with those in our lives is the same. He will try to destroy our bond with people so that he can destroy our peace as well.
My pastor recently said in a sermon that we need too “tell the devil to shut his face.” That statment couldnt be anymore true. The next time the enemy tries to steal your peace you need to tell him to SHUT HIS FACE. Show him that no matter what he tries to throw your way, that you will always have the God of peace with you to shield you with an overflowing bubble of His everlasting peace! I want to do something different with this post and end it with a prayer, pray along with me.
Father, I thank you for your everlasting peace You give to my heart. I pray that you help me to fight the road blocks that try and steal my peace. Help me to live my life in peace with others. Show me how to overcome my fear and find the victory of peace today. It is in Jesus name I declare all these things. Amen.
God is the perfect judge because He created the law. When we judge other people it is a sign we don’t trust God Or it is a sign that we think our own authority is greater than God’s. Both of these ideas are far from the truth.
If you find yourself looking down on another person, try focusing on your love and appreciation for them instead. Your love is bigger than your judgement. Love will make a greater impact on their heart and souls than any of your judgment or condemnation. That is the reason Jesus Himself was the perfect example of love.
I challenge you today, the next time you think a judgmental thought towards someone to replace it with a loving one. Let Jesus love overflow out of your heart and speak hope into someone’s heart. Let God do the judging and allow Him to use you for love. Love instead of judge. Xoxo
“There is one lawgiver and judge who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?”
James 4:12 CSB
Sometimes emotions can get the best of us and cause us to say words we don’t truly mean. When you get so overwhelmed in emotions, you don’t think before you speak causing hurt to someone. The Bible tells us to “be slow to anger.” The tongue is our most deadly weapon, we cut people down with it, we gossip with it, we say hurtful things to others with it. We can hurt so many with our tongues.
We cannot allow our fleshy emotions to hinder our spiritual influence. People will hurt us, make us so angry we want to scream, but we have to “bite our tongues.” As the saying goes “if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.” Use your tongue to speak love! Speak truth, life and hope into someone’s life with it. Pray for someone with it. Don’t allow the enemy to take your emotions and use them for his gain. Use your weapon for good. Speak truth! Xoxo
“The one who guards his mouth and tongue keeps himself out of trouble.”

As women, we constantly struggle with comparing ourselves. I for one am guilty of this. I constantly compare myself to other wives, moms, Christians, friends; etc. every single time I do I am left feeling inadequate. I think I’m not good enough. I think all the things I’m doing are nothing and void. All that is doing is setting myself up to be constantly kicked by the enemy.
He will use our weakness of comparison to destroy us. He will whisper continuous thoughts of doubt and steal our joy. We need to stop that cycle. How you ask? Being confident. Confident in ourselves not to compare ourselves to others. To see ourselves through the eyes of Jesus.
Christ made us all unique in our own ways. I maybe able to encourage people in ways others can’t and vise versa. Our Heavenly Father gave us individual gifts to use to help others. He didn’t want us constantly going down the rabbit hole of comparison. He wants us united and joyful so we can spread His gospel and truth the lost and hurting. We can’t be the vessels He needs us to be if we are constantly breaking ourselves down in comparison to others.
So, I challenge you and myself to break the cycle of comparison. Next time you find yourself comparing stop it, refocus and be joyful for that person. Turn the comparison into joy. Stop allowing it to steal your joy away. Be confident. Be bold. Be JOYFUL. We are all in this together, as sisters and brothers in Christ. Our journeys may be different and that’s ok. The differences shouldn’t cause division, instead we should use them to join together to help others. Be thankful for you who are and the gifts you were given. Don’t let comparison become your downfall. Xoxo
“Let each person examine his own work, and then he can take pride in himself alone, and not compare himself with someone else. For each person will have to carry his own load.”
Galatians 6:4-5 CSB
I know you’re discouraged right now. You can’t understand the plan God has for you. You don’t know why that door wasn’t the one for you to walk through. Worry is creeping into your heart, you worry you won’t be able to save enough, that the fertility meds won’t work, the IVF won’t be successful. You worry adoption will fall through. Worried that fostering will be too much for you to bare. You worry, worry, worry!
Don’t allow the enemy to use your discouragement against you. He wants you to feel defeated. To feel hopeless. To feel ashamed. ENOUGH! Don’t give up! God will always make away! When one door closes, He WILL open another. It may be a different door than you had planned, but trust in His plan. No matter how hard it seems, know that He has your back always! Stand in your faith. Stand on your promise! Stand on God’s Word. Don’t give up! Xoxo
“For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”
Matthew 7:8 CSB
Even if you don’t speak everything you think, doesn’t mean it still won’t affect you. Our mind controls everything in our body. What we think will go in our hearts. The Bible says in Luke 6:45 that “out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.” See the connection? What you think goes in your heart. What goes in your heart comes out of your mouth.
If you think you aren’t good enough, you’ll say you aren’t good enough. If you think judgement against someone, you will speak it out. If you think anger, you’ll speak anger. The enemy wants to steal your thought. He will use your thoughts to get in your heart. So instead, start thinking of the joy of the Lord and see joy come into your heart. Think of peace and peace will be in your heart. If you think forgiveness, then forgiveness will be in your heart and out of your mouth.
So today I challenge you. I challenge you to guard your thoughts. The next time they’re negative thoughts, change them. Don’t allow the enemy to take control of your thoughts. Instead, allow Gods word, and Godly thoughts in. Guard your thoughts and see blessings start to unfold in your life.
“A good person produces good out of the good stored up in his heart. An evil person produces evil out of the evil stored up in his heart, for his mouth speaks from the overflow of the heart.”
