God Will Open The Door

I know you’re discouraged right now. You can’t understand the plan God has for you. You don’t know why that door wasn’t the one for you to walk through. Worry is creeping into your heart, you worry you won’t be able to save enough, that the fertility meds won’t work, the IVF won’t be successful. You worry adoption will fall through. Worried that fostering will be too much for you to bare. You worry, worry, worry!

Don’t allow the enemy to use your discouragement against you. He wants you to feel defeated. To feel hopeless. To feel ashamed. ENOUGH! Don’t give up! God will always make away! When one door closes, He WILL open another. It may be a different door than you had planned, but trust in His plan. No matter how hard it seems, know that He has your back always! Stand in your faith. Stand on your promise! Stand on God’s Word. Don’t give up! Xoxo

“For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”

Matthew 7:8 CSB

Guard Your Thoughts

Even if you don’t speak everything you think, doesn’t mean it still won’t affect you. Our mind controls everything in our body. What we think will go in our hearts. The Bible says in Luke 6:45 that “out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.” See the connection? What you think goes in your heart. What goes in your heart comes out of your mouth.

If you think you aren’t good enough, you’ll say you aren’t good enough. If you think judgement against someone, you will speak it out. If you think anger, you’ll speak anger. The enemy wants to steal your thought. He will use your thoughts to get in your heart. So instead, start thinking of the joy of the Lord and see joy come into your heart. Think of peace and peace will be in your heart. If you think forgiveness, then forgiveness will be in your heart and out of your mouth.

So today I challenge you. I challenge you to guard your thoughts. The next time they’re negative thoughts, change them. Don’t allow the enemy to take control of your thoughts. Instead, allow Gods word, and Godly thoughts in. Guard your thoughts and see blessings start to unfold in your life.

“A good person produces good out of the good stored up in his heart. An evil person produces evil out of the evil stored up in his heart, for his mouth speaks from the overflow of the heart.”

Luke 6:45 CSB

Flesh vs Spirit

Our flesh is much stronger than we think. When we get a cut, it heals. It keeps us warm and cool. It can do a lot of good things physically. However, spiritually it is bad. Your flesh wants to keep you from anything Godly. It wants to entice you, distract you, and pull you away from anything that will feed your spirit.

The war between your flesh and your spirit has been waging since Adam. Ultimately, Adam allowed his flesh to overcome him. So, how do I let my spirit win you ask?

* Feed it God’s Word

* Grow in your prayer time.

* Faithfully attending church

* Fasting, (weakens the flesh)

Feed your spirit! Don’t be like Adam and let your flesh win. We are still reaping those consequences. Allow your spirit to grow stronger and stronger everyday. Beat the flesh by not allowing your circumstances to overcome you. I know life is hard, but with a strong firm foundation in your spirit you will overcome. Let your spirit win! Xoxo

“For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit.”

Romans 8:5 ESV

Be A Helper.

Anxiety can cause a lot of things; depression, heart palpitations, stress, and fear. People with anxiety often times obsess with things, they focus on the triggers of their anxieties. Depression and anxiety most of the time go together.

We never really know what people struggle with everyday. We can’t always see their anxieties, fears or worries. What we can do is offer a smile, kind word, a hug and most importantly prayer. We can pray for others.

Don’t let your struggles be your downfall. Don’t be consumed by fear and worry that the enemy sees that target on your back only to use it against you. Don’t become so bitter that you hurt others who are hurting. Help bring peace back into someone’s anxious heart. Be their supporter, show them Christ’s love. Be a helper, a true friend. Help someone not to be weighed down any longer. Pray for someone else even if all you want to do is pray for yourself. Allow your pain from infertility to become a pillar of strength to help others. Be Gods helper to some one else! Xoxo

“Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad.”

Proverbs 12:25 ESV

The Enemy Is Defeated.

Did you know you have an enemy? Greater than any military or political opponent, Satan wars against God and His followers. He is full of deceit and will use this trait to pull others away from following Jesus.

Even though we have an enemy working against us, God is on our side. According to 2 Thessalonians 3:3, God is faithful in guarding us from the evil one. Christ defeated Satan through His death and resurrection because He gave Satan no right to accuse believers. Therefore, we do not have to fear. He can’t harm us because of Christ’s sacrifice.

You can have peace, knowing Christ has overcome the schemes of our accuser! Don’t allow fear to make you feel defeated. He has already won the war. Take courage today, knowing the enemy is defeated. God is on guard for you. Xoxo

“But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen and guard you from the evil one.”

2 Thessalonians 3:3 CSB

Look Up For Help

I know that overwhelming feeling you have right now. You are stressed about your finances, marriage, ministry, fertility treatments, fostering and so on. The Bible tells us in Matthew 6:26 that “Look at the birds, they don’t sow or reap, yet our Heavenly Father takes care of them. Are you not worth more than they?” (Paraphrased). If God loves the birds and all the creatures of this earth enough to provide for them, why do we think He won’t take care of us?

Stop looking at all the earthly possessions that you don’t have or can’t have, and look up towards heaven! This life as hard, sad, demanding, and happy as it can be is temporary. Our home is heaven. Think on that. God has more in store for us than anything we can obtain here on Earth. Stop looking for hope and fulfillment in the wrong things and see the great things eternity has in store! This world is not our home, we are just passing through! Be encouraged. Look up to heaven! Xoxo

“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.”

Colossians 3:2 CSB

Love God, Love People.

In the light of all these suicides, it has got me thinking. You never know the pain someone is dealing with, the daily struggles they face.

As Christians, we are called to love. To love everyone. Not to pick and choose who you want to love, but to love EVERYONE! Jesus came to this world to love it, not condemn it. If the One and only savior came to love the world; why do we think we can do anything but?

We think because someone has a difference in their opinions, religion, lifestyles or any other choices, that it gives us an “excuse” to not love.

Please don’t be like the judge or juror. People need love, support and prayers. You want them to come to Jesus and be saved: Love and pray for them. You think they’re struggling with something: love and pray for them. We never know what someone is going through. We are all good at hiding behind masks or fake smiles, that doesn’t mean we don’t all have hurts. So please, let’s be like Jesus and love people. That is the only way to truly help save people. Xoxo

““I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.””
