David has always been one of my favorite bible characters, not becuase he is so wise or so knowledagble; but because he is genuine. He was himself. He admits when he was wrong. He confesses when he lost himself. The thing that draws me to him the most is he is a worshipper. Through the midst of all his failings and short comings, he worshiped. He was not ashamed when he danced for Jesus for all to see. I want to have a heart like King David.
How are you worshipping God today? Have you allowed the enemy to take away your worship? We must never lose our worship. The bible constantly speaks to us that our worship is how we fight our battles. David wasnt dancing becuase he liked to dance, He was dancing before the Lord. His dancing was his worship, a cry to the Lord of his goodness. Over and over in the book of Psalms David writes worships to the Lord. I imagine that as he wrote those pages there were tears of worship streaming down his cheeks, probably even wetting the very pages that held his words of worhsip.
So today, I tell you to dance like David danced. Let your worship be your weapon. Worship God for the things He has already help you defeat. Worhsip Him for the things He has not yet revealed to you. Worship Him even when you dont feel like worshipping Him. I promise you once you get past the flesh that is holding back your worship, you tap into the spirit of God inside of you; and you wont be able to contain your worship. God is good and His mercies are never ending. The bible says “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.” We should have a continuous breath of worship. Satan, wants to diminish our worship. Why you ask? He knows how powerful it is. Keep worshipping and watch your blessings continue to unfold.
“Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness; let the whole earth tremble before him.”
Psalms 96:9 CSB
