I know today will be hard for you, Your emotions will be like a swirling roller coaster. You desperately want nothing more than for you husband to be celebrated on this day. You prayed and hoped that you would be able to give him good news before this day. Take heart today sister, God will give you and your husbands hearts desire.
I know today will be hard for you sweet foster momma, as you feel that your husband might be struggling today. He may feel unworthy to share the title of “father” with “biological” fathers today. Remind him that he is a FATHER. Reassure him that biology doesn’t make you a father. Show him how he is such a good dad to all the kiddos that come into your home. Take heart. Pray for your husband, pray that God will open his eyes to see his worth.
Remember, Abraham and Sarah desperately wanted to be parents. They had given up hope, they didn’t think it was in the cards for them. But God, He did the miraculous. He spoke a promise to Abraham that he would be the father of many nations.
God will do it for you and your husband. Comfort your husband today. He won’t want to show his emotions, he will try to be strong, but he is hurting. Encourage him today. Pray for him daily. Help him prepare for the father he will become. Help him to see the father that he is even though they don’t share genetics. Remember Abraham’s faith, don’t give up. Despite all the odds, Abraham became the father of many nations.
““As for me, here is my covenant with you: You will become the father of many nations. Your name will no longer be Abram; your name will be Abraham, for I will make you the father of many nations.”
Genesis 17:4-5 CSB
